My visiting niece and I took lessons from Mike who was terrific. We’re pretty much new to surfing and he was patient and got us both up on our boards. Well, toward the end at least! Everyone was very friendly and service was terrific. We had a great time. Highly recommend.

My daughter has always wanted to surf and at 9 years old we decided she was ok to go! She was a little nervous the night before surf camp started but her instructor Alexis immediately put her at ease! Alexis was so positive and upbeat and put my nervous mama heart to rest knowing Mallory was in good hands! Everyone we had contact with at this school was phenomenal! We are extremely satisfied with our experience and will be back soon!

1st time surfing was fun and we decided to go again today. Instructor Mark was assigned to us and he just brought our experience to another level. I am petite, often time I got knock down by the wave when walking out, Mark always asked me to hop on the board to relax so he can pull me far out to wait for the wave. Besides that he is fun to talk to and he had huge passion about surfing and helping others to teach. A great instructor and we will ask for him when we go next time!

My daughter went to the surf camp two separate weeks and enjoyed it both times. The instructors were nice and made sure each kid got plenty of one on one. It should be a given that your child should know how to swim, but the instructors were patient with the kids that were struggling. My 11 year old daughter enjoyed the experience very much so I am happy.

Jaz and the crew once again were amazing. This is my second time taking a school group out for surfing. The currents were strong, but they kept moving us to better areas to catch waves. I think everyone was able to stand up by the end of getting to surfing. The photographer was awesome as well! What a crew and what a great place to surf!

I had a amazing time learning how to surf with the Banzai Surf School! I called 1 hour before the 11 o’clock open group lessen and because nobody eles signed up for it they organized an instructor in between an hour. Paulo, my instructor, showed me the important things and then started right away. He gave me good tips and showed me what to do or what I could do better. Paulo, thank you! I had a really good time! I can recommend them 100%!

I took all of my family to Banzai Surf School after I read the reviews in a recent vacation to HB. Being land locked here in Colorado, surfing is something I’ve always wanted to try. Jaz and his crew were excellent surf instructors to my two daughters and wife! Even though we won’t be ready for the waves of the North Shore anytime soon, these guys are an excellent school! We had Dave and Bryce as our instructors and these guys knew how to teach some rookies from Colorado. The experience with Banzai was one of the biggest highlights of our vacation!

GREAT SURF SCHOOL! Highly recommend Banzai! My son and his friend took a lesson on a Friday morning. After the lesson, they went and rented surfboards for the week and were out surfing every morning at 7:30 am on vacation. The kids had a great time and the instructors and photographer were awesome.

My husband and I took our first surf lesson here and it was AMAZING! The staff was so friendly and our instructor Breezy was INCREDIBLE!! I got up on my first wave, and my husband caught his first outside wave thanks to her amazing instruction and pro tips. She was so kind and encouraging and was there with us every step out in the water. Her passion for teaching surfing truly shined. Can’t say enough good things about her and Banzai Surf School. Taking a surfing lesson was a dream of mine and it was one of my favorite experiences ever!

Was looking for lessons on short-notice and was able to book immediately! David greeted myself and my friend (both newer to surfing) with a customized approach and he was incredibly helpful in getting us up to speed and on the board in no time! We were riding waves to sand and David was cheering us on! The boards and gear provided were high quality and fantastic for learning. Everything about my experience with Banzai Surf School left me stoked. The crew were flexible in the face of rescheduling due to weather, working around my schedule to accommodate later lesson, and adding/removing services as needed. Jake was my instructor. He expertly tailored the lesson to my skill level, and gave me several helpful cues that improved my surfing almost instantly. Awesome guy! Joe taking pictures was also fun. He was high-energy and encouraging, too. I’d come here again if I’m back in the area.

We booked a three-day package for two ten-year-old boys this week and had a really great experience with Banzai. One of the boys has surfed before and was really into it. The other was more timid. I got in the water to help but the instructors took really great care of both of them – both skill levels were tailored to. Over the three days we had Peter, Ian, Tori and Breezy as instructors and they were all really encouraging and patient with both kids. I’m addition to having a lot of fun, I felt like the kids were really safe. I would definitely recommend Banzai and we will be using them again when we are in town.

Big Wave Dave was the best! My two 17 year-olds had an absolute blast. He pushed them hard and got them both surfing immediately. He didn’t rush them back at the very second their time was up, because they were having such a great time. This was a great experience and would highly recommend.
